Arbour Report
On 30 May 2022, the Minister of National Defence, The Honourable Anita Anand, was joined by former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, Mme. Louise Arbour, as well as the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Wayne Eyre, and Deputy Minister of National Defence, Bill Matthews, at a press conference to discuss Mme. Arbour’s final Independent External Comprehensive Review (IECR) report of the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The final report provides 48 recommendations that fall within eleven areas of focus and seek to prevent and/or eradicate sexual harassment and misconduct in the DND/CAF.
